Don't miss this once in a lifetime Wind Climbers workshop!!! We are pleased to announce that This years workshop will feature Normand Girard's and his unique single line kite known as the "Funky Alien". The photo of the kite is attached. If you don't already know about Normand and his beautiful hand-made kites here is some more background. Normand Girard has been designing his own unique single kites for many years. He has taught at several kite workshops all over North America including Fort Worden and NYKE. His kites have been in several exhibits and articles on his kites have been published in several magazines including the AKA's "Kiting magazine". Normand also owns his own kite store in Quebec known as Vent D'Ekinox http://www.vent-ekinox.com/ This is your chance to be taught by one of the best kite builders in Canada! BONUS NEWS : Normand is also going to teach us his "quick" method of sewing appliqué during the workshop.

Normand will be bringing us complete kits for each person that signs up in advance. Please advise me right away if you want to participate. I have to give Normand at least 3 weeks notice to place his order for parts. The Funky Alien kit will include all the materials including white Mirai ripstop for the main sail. Any appliqué work will need to be done at home unless you finish your project early in class. This is a complicated build and not really recommended as a first time kite project. The class limit is 20 but we will stretch it to a maximum of 25 people if demand justifies it.

The workshop is open to all current Wind Climber members. If you are not a current member it is easy to join. I will contact each person that signs up to give extra info and to arrange for payment.
